There are black people in the future: Explorations in Afrofuturism

In this project, 55 Black Americans ages 17-70 were surveyed about their fears, hopes and dreams for blackness in the future. The results of these surveys, along with exhaustive research in the the aesthetic history of "blackness" was turned into a series of renderings, loosely grouped into three categories: THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT, THE BODY and AFROPESSIMSM.
